ACU VISION
Diagnostic &
Therapeutic Device |
|
|
«ACUVISION-04» is a microprocessor device
for medical diagnostics, based on visualization of acupoints and
is designed for primary screening of diseases. The device provides timely diagnostics,
non-invasive and harmless medical research method. |

|
A special device
for visualization of low resistance points, or skin areas Initially an earthed bio-object is placed in an
electrostatic field, created by a high-voltage corona discharge. The
Electrostatic field intensity is at the maximum in the point (or skin area)
of the minimum skin resistance. Luminescence originates in the maximum field
intensity points and reflects the functional state of the biological object
(fig. 7). To enhance the points' luminescence, the analyzed
object must be covered by a thin dielectric layer (a paper, cotton fabric,
polyester film, etc.).

Figure 7. The “AcuVision” device and physical
principle of low resistance skin area visualization.
Application of a relatively thin dielectric provides
visualization of diffuse conductivity of the skin surface, not standard
acupoints. So one can evaluate the condition of Wei Qi at the examined area (fig. 8).

Figure 8. Visualization of the low resistance skin area.
6.2. Use of the AcuVision device
for definition of a Ying Qi condition
Physical basis for examination of Ying Qi. Ying Qi (nutrient Qi) circulates mainly in the Regular
Channels. In modern terms it can be correlated to the
bodies metabolic activity.
As
described before, acupoints consists of active zones and points “channel”, which connect the
deep part of the acupoints with the skin surface (fig. 9/a).
Activity of this deep part of the point is reflected
on the conductivity of the point “channel”, as well as
conductivity of the point entrance/exit on the skin surface.
Measuring conductivity of this point by relatively
low current (5-10 μA) provides definition of the point
“channel’s”
conductivity (for example R.Voll’s diagnostic method).
Whereas measuring conductivity of the point by
relatively high current (150-200 μA) provides definition of the whole
“Regular channel” conductivity (for example method of Ryodoraku designed by Y.Nakatany).

Figure 9. Diagram of acupoints and Regular channel
structure.
The AcuVision device has been described in chapter
6.1 (fig. 7). This method of visualization, assesses the functional state of
the analyzed biological object, using corporal (channel and out of channel)
points, as well as points of various micro-systems (ear, palm, nose, etc.),
both on the human or animal skin and on the surface of any plants (fig. 9 and
10).
The diagnostic value is shown as brightness at the
point of luminescence, as well as relaxation time.

8.1. Cover the researchable
zone on the patients body by a thin layer of a dielectric, for example a
polyester, cotton fabric (it should be of white colour) or a paper napkin.
8.2. After the device is ready for work the operator
should take the active terminal and turn the device on; at that moment the LED «READY», the two sectors on
the electrostatic field intensity indicators «LEVEL» and the patient’s current
«PATIENT CURRENT» should switch on.
8.3. The «MODULATION» knob must be set in the last
right position; this position accords the modulation frequency 80 Hz.
8.4. Turn the lights in the room where the research
is being provided off. Place the active terminal to the researched zone of the
patient on the distance of 100
± 50 mm, press the red button
on the terminal and regulating the «LEVEL» knob and wait till the blinking
points appear.
8.5. Scan the researched zone of the patients body,
evenly moving the active terminal on the equal distance from the patients body.
The AP who are in an excited situation («Excess») will have the maximum
brightness and the largest diameter.
8.6. After the end of the research let the red
button on the active terminal off and turn the device off.
Supplement: The «Positive»
active terminal with a red colour chord is intended for the visualization of
points/zones with a «lowered» electric resistance. The «Negative» active terminal
with a blue colour chord is intended for the visualization of points/zones with
a relatively «high» electric resistance.
9.1. Qi regulation by
self-adjusted electrical or air-ions current (ACUVISION).
AcuVision device has been
developed initially for visualization of acupoints with low resistance. But it
also provides electro-puncture and air-ion-puncture with an individual
selection of influence mode.
Initially grounded biological object is placed in
electrostatic field created by a high-voltage corona discharge. Electrostatic
field lines are formed between device and patient’s body. The highest intensity
of the field is at the points of the minimum skin resistance. A dielectric
layer should cover an exposure skin area (fig. 11).

Figure 11.
Grounded patient is treated by electrical current via dielectric layer
(a)
or by air-ions
current without dielectric layer (b).
At the border of dielectric layer and air the
process of transformation of the corona discharge into spike discharge takes
place. So, electrical current is conducted via the skin points (fig. 12).

Figure 12.
Physical principle of “AcuVision” device action on low resistance points
and area.
Depending on the electrode
polarity there is a movement of negative or positive ions and electrons from
the body to the AcuVision device electrode or from the electrode to patient’s
body.
When positive electrode is
applied negative ions and electrons are moved from the patient’s body to the
AcuVision-device electrode. In this case “sedation” effect can be realized.
When negative electrode is applied negative ions and electrons are moved from
the AcuVision-device electrode to patient’s body. In this case “stimulation”
effect can be achieved (fig. 13).
The electrical current
conducted between patient’s body and AcuVision-device is changed depending on
acupoints resistance. Usual therapeutic electrical current via the whole patient’s
body is 30-40
μA (it never exceeds 100
μA). When resistance of the “lowest resistance
points” normalises (i.e. increases) electrical current decreases. So, there is
a self-regulation of the therapeutic process.

Figure
13. Sedation
and Stimulation effects achieved by positive and negative electrodes.
To enhance and specify
effects of “reinforce”, “harmonization” or “sedation” low frequency modulation
of electrical current is available too.
For “reinforcement» effect
modulation frequencies are varying from 1 to 7 Hz, for “harmonization” effect
modulation frequencies are varying from 8 to 15 Hz and for “sedation” effect
modulation frequencies are varying from 20 to 65 Hz.
·
for the frequency of 80 Hz.
The way from the one colour
sector to the other colour sector is accompanied by a sound signal:
·
From the red sector to the light blue (green) sector – two sound signals;
·
From the light blue (green) sector to the blue sector – three sound
signals;
·
From the blue sector to the last right position of the handle – one sound
signal.
In all
sectors the modulation is provided by the rule of the «wave swings» in the
according frequency range (under-the-diapasons).
The reinforcing mode: the
«MODULATION» handle is in the red color sector, which corresponds for the
modulation frequencies from 1 to 7 Hz: the time of influence is no more than 1
minute;
The harmonisation mode: the
«MODULATION» handle is in the light blue (green) colour sector, which
corresponds for the modulation frequencies from 8 to 15 Hz: the time of
influence is no more than 3 minutes;
The sedation mode: the
«MODULATION» handle is in the blue colour sector, which corresponds for the
modulation frequencies from 20 to 65 Hz: the time of influence is no more than
5-7 minutes.
9.2.1. After the operational manual as said in the
points 7.1. – 7.8., the operator should take the active terminal and turn the
device on; at the same time the LED «READY» and the two sectors on the
electrostatic field voltage indicators «LEVEL» and the patient’s current
«PATIENT CURRENT» should switch on.
9.2.3. Choose the required mode of influence by the
«MODULATION» handle: «reinforcing», «harmonisation» or «sedation».
9.2.4. The «LEVEL» handle should be set in the right
position (the maximum intensity of the electrostatic field), when all the
indicators are on.
If you provide electro-puncture, the skin surface of
the patient should be covered by a dielectric (fig. 11/a). The active terminal is
positioned from the skin surface on a distance of 3-5 cm. When you press the
red button on the active terminal an electrostatic field of a high-voltage
corona discharge, is being formed. An even movement of the active terminal over
the treated skin surface of the patient is provided; the same time a light
slaughter appears in the AP who has the minimal electric resistance (maximal
brightness in the visualization mode).
The time of influence depends on the size of the
skin surface, which is being influenced and usually it is no more than 20
minutes.
The individual time of influence is determined by the time of the
brightest AP shining. In that case the procedure should be provided in dark
room so that you can keep an eye on the brightness of the points.
In the reinforcing mode the «negative» active terminal is being used: the
«MODULATION» handle is in the red colour sector which corresponds for the
modulation frequencies from 1 to 7 Hz: the time of influence is no more than 1
minute for every influenced area. The total time of influence is no more than 5
minutes.
.
9.4. AIR-ION THERAPY
The air-ion therapy is provided by an equal movement
of the «negative» active terminal over the uncovered skin area of the patient
(fig. 11/b).
In this case the difference from the usual air-ion
therapy, when the air-ion therapy is provided only through the respiratory
tracts, is that in our case an addressed influence by the negative ions on the acupoints,
accordingly on the meridian (channel) system of the patient. In all modes
(reinforcing, harmonisation and sedation) the therapy is provided only by the
«negative» active terminal.
During therapy doctor may
act locally on the problem area as well as on various acupoints and
reflexogenic zones.
The chois depends both on
the doctor’s cvalification and tuype of disease.
